Tuesday, 20th September - Williams/Grand Canyon
After watching a somewhat cringe-worthy mock cowboy gun fight, we boarded one of the observation cars, Grand View, on the Grand Canyon Railroad and trundled 63 miles north in a little over two hours.
The sights that awaited us are quite indescribable and trying to capture the enormity of what lay before us adequately on a phone camera is impossible. The Grand Canyon is simply VAST.
When we first arrived there was a fair bit of cloud cover and the colours were quite muted.
As the clouds parted and the sun broke through the true beauty of the Canyon was revealed.
Blessing the Canyon with Navajo corn flour from Chinle:

A final view of the Canyon before the train journey back to Williams.
